I think they are going to be perfect for quick armies which are basically a main colour e.g. 40K Marines etc. But many will not be suitable for historical figures. I too am not convinced with the blues but I will try grey when I get a unit with a blue uniform.George Andersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02622222875110390888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7988875042394716329.post-40300591571016709342019-07-04T10:38:14.136+01:002019-07-04T10:38:14.136+01:00Saga ... meh! :-D

As you say, grey base and a real figure will be a better test. A chap here in the office (novice painter) has tried out a grey/green colour (not sure of name) on his plague marines for 40k and the results were very good. Certainly worth exploring further. The Wargames Tablehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09454593374321456477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7988875042394716329.post-9441062966658770362019-07-04T09:17:35.218+01:002019-07-04T09:17:35.218+01:00Thanks Phil, no, steer clear of Saga. I am not the best photographer and I think a grey undercoat will work better, but the darker blue up close does work, the proof will be on a real figure.George Andersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02622222875110390888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7988875042394716329.post-24538283653326177142019-07-04T00:02:14.229+01:002019-07-04T00:02:14.229+01:00Hmmm, glad I gave Saga a pass, your games confirm ...Hmmm, glad I gave Saga a pass, your games confirm my prejudices.

Cavalry look just dandy, bring on Louis lads.

Don't like the blue as much as the red, but perhaps a great u/c would be better as you sayPhil Robinsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14951076081660516802noreply@blogger.com
